The Assistant Facility Security Officer (FSO) will work directly with our clients and must be a motivated professional who can work independently, can quickly learn our contracts/requirements, and is able to devote established hours daily (Monday-Friday) to our client's security needs. We are seeking a candidate who can commit to working remotely supporting multiple clients around the United States.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts, prepares, and administers security vulnerability assessments (SVA) with the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) as required
- Advise all pertinent management staff of security violations and security requirements to remain in full compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
- Prepares and maintains various security forms. Maintain personnel security files for all Link personnel, consultants, contractors
- Conducts facility self-inspections and review of security processes to ensure compliance with the NISPOM relevant laws
- Provide security support for collateral, sensitive, and SCI activities.
- Conduct initial security & annual security refresher training for all cleared and uncleared personnel.
- Serves as the primary POC for establishing contract visit access requests (VAR) and establishing rapport with contract security representatives.
- Administers the transfer of clearance ownership for onboarding personnel,
- Establish initial clearance submissions and maintenance of DISS/NBIS personnel records.
- Trains company personnel on security awareness and security compliance to include insider threats.
Qualifications:
- Must be a US citizen
- TS/SCI Clearance
- 2+ plus years of experience providing FSO/AFSO support or in a related field
- Completion of FSO training certificate (Non-Possessing Facilities IS020.CU, FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities IS030.CU., Industrial Security Professional Certification (ISP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
- In-depth working knowledge of NISPOM Rule requirements and other government regulations
- Knowledge of the government personnel and facility clearance processes, e-APP and government security systems, such as DISS/NISS/NBIS
- Ability to manage complex situations, along with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and multiple task
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite – specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Preferred:
- 3 years of experience as an FSO or CSSO for a government contractor supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community programs
- ITPSO training
- Experience with SWIFT
- Experience with DCSA audits
- Experience with facility clearance sponsorship.
- Familiarity with SharePoint.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
